Preparation Haul for Japan Trip

Hi there! I know I know, you gals must be waiting for the new post everyday! I am so sorry about not posting as regular as I used to be, basically I am real busy recently with works & preparation for my business trip.

Due to the weather change in Japan, I got to get myself some winter clothing such as wind breaker, jackets, sweaters and pants/jeans. Thus, I was a bit busy shopping around to look for something I really like and suitable for the weather!

haha... due to the constraint in plus size market in Malaysia, it is not easy to find a nice and not so pricey winter clothes for plus size like me! Lucky M&S already brought in their winter clothing! In fact was started shopping for the wind breaker/jacket since last week and undecided which to choose!

At the beginning when I went to M&S in 1U, they have only limited design, which is the black & red colors shown below. Then I went to M&S in KLCC, there are few more choices! After seeking opinions from friends and family members, I had actually decided to go for the Red color Jacket! Thought I will go over to buy it on this Sunday in KLCC as I planned to have my makeover done @ RMK KLCC on Sunday before the wedding dinner!

Somehow, I felt like going to KLCC tonight for pre-checking for Loreal sale item. So I went with my hubby, mom in law & sis in law to KLCC for shopping! Of course, I wouldn't missed the chance to sneak into M&S to try out again on my choice of jacket. However, when I walked into M&S, the white color winter jacket with fur cap attached had attract my attention. Immediately I walked over to try on the jacket, oh boy! I found the one I loved!!!! Then without delay I must check if the price is within my budget! Gosh, it is so expensive compared to the red jacket which I planned to buy earlier!

Undecided again!!! Then I went over to pick the red jacket to try on again to see which is nicer! Aarrrggghhhh........ no more size???!!!!! I checked with the SA, she said they don't keep stock, it's all out there!! So, that's it! It's fate right? Wanting me to buy the white jacket?? Kakakaka... Well, I double confirmed with the SA again on the stock availability, she confirmed that it's all out there! The XL size for white jacket is the one and only piece out there! I don't want to miss it anymore! Without think further, I grabbed it and head straight to the counter for payment! hahaha... here it comes my lovely jacket!

Besides, I also bought a sweater & a pair of jeans from DP where they are having sale now! Sweater is at the 20% member b'day discount (thanks to Arwen) & Jeans is 30% discount. Great deals!!!

Clarins Nude Inspirations

Learn about the Clarins Nude Inspiration Autumn Make-up collection launching @ KLCC today from Miu's blog. I guess this must be a important launching, as Clarins had actually invited 4 celebrities to the launching. But of course I missed the morning fun part of the launching and had received calls from Jess around 12:20pm telling that the goodie bag still available and asked me to go over quickily.

Of course I am eager to go over to collect the goodie bags since today is only the 4th days of NSC and cannot spend anything or do any shopping, thus the freebies therapy will help to calm me down even not buying anything!

Marina and me left office 10mins earlier than our usual lunch time and rushed to Isetan KLCC. Thanks to Jess to request the SA to keep the goodie bags for us and guess what?!! The 2 we had were the last 2 sets they had got! How lucky we are! Again, thanks to Jess, muacks!

What's more, as stated in the poster, they will give us a free mini nude makeover session by using their latest Autumn collection, it's simple! I love the nude makeover! The SA from Clarins - Ms. Winnie can still recognized Marina & myself as she had actually served us during the Clarins workshop last month. Really salute to Clarins, as they really train their SA to be so professional, unlike another brand (whose the name should not be mention).

Exclusive Clarins Workshop for Plusizekitten's Readers!!

On last Saturday, I went to one of the greatest workshop ever! The Exclusive Clarins Workshop on skincare!!! I have to say ~ Miu, I love you so much! Thanks for the inviting me to the workshops!!!

What so special about it! Well, first of all, everyone of us know that Clarins - one of the expensive brand which I will never go near, as worry those SA will give me the look like "shu shu... don't buy don't walk near!!" kind of feeling! But I changed after attending to their workshop! What really surprised me was when I visited their Clarins Suite counter at Metro MV, the SA actually recognized me when I dropped by to buy the Body Starter Set! This is what we call personal touched! I really impressed with it! Didn't know that she can recognize me as there were more than 60 of us (2 sessions)!

Well, go back to the topic about the workshop! Hmm... guess I always forgot that after attending workshop, I need to blog about it! Cuz.... I forgot the most important things for blogger ~ a Camera!!! That's why you can only see words and words... there is no photos except for the freebies we received!

I learned a lot about the Clarins products in the workshop, the presentation is really good and easy to understand as the presenter (sorry, really don't remember her name) really did a good job! At first, we were all trying all the star products on our hand, then after the presentation, we started to play with all the skin care on our face! Of course, most of us went with "BARE FACE"!!

First, we apply the cleanser, the SA will help you to identify your skin type if you don't know! Mine is combination oily skin, so the SA gave me Cleansing Milk with Gentian. Please don't think that their products are expensive and they might tend to be stingy on letting you to try on the products itself! They actually poured aboout 20 sen or 50 sen amount on our palm, some they even giving us about 3 pump! Wow... really happy with that! After the cleanser, I felt refreshed! The next step is to apply toner, I am using the green color liquid bottle - Toning Lotion with Iris.

After toner, we applied the Gentle Facial Peeling, which I don't really like the texture, as when we do the peeling, the residue will fall all over! Anyway, this is trial, so we still apply it and after peeling the mask, guess what, our skins are like baby skin! haha... so smooth and silky feel!

After we did the peeling mask, we reapply toner and followed by serum! I choose Total Whitening Essence, the smell - excellent! I love it so much! *wink wink* (must put this in my wish list)...

Now come their star product - THE SHAPING FACIAL LIFT! I heard this really can help to reshape your face by applying regularly/daily basis! And it's not as simple as ABC, you must follow the step by step on the face lifting process for the maximum effects! The SA taught us the following steps:-

a) Forehead ~ using both palms to apply pressure on the forehead. Hold this position for 20 - 30 counts. (This will help to prevent the appearance of lines on the forehead)
b) Eye ~ Place the base of the palms completely cover the eyes and the contour area. (This will reduce puffiness & minimize dark circles and this position also will help eliminate stress)
c) Cheeks ~ Move both hands to the cheeks, slowly separate them to leave room on the nose. (This will help relieve water retention for those who have a fuller face)
d) Chin & Jawline ~ Rest the chin in the palms with the hands open holding the jaw. (This position is recommended to those who have a heavier face, as it will help to relieve water retention on the chin area)
e) The bas of the Neck & Ears ~ Separate both hands and apply pressure with the full weight of the head. (This will help to enhance natural facial drainage and refine facial contours)

If we really practice the above steps with applying the Shaping Facial Lift, I am sure we can see the results on it!

Final step ~ applying sun block! The Clarins sun block also quite good, it will not feel sticky on skin after apply!

Overall experience: Very good and satisfying! Hope to attend more other workshops from Clarins if given opportunity! And guess what? I had already bought the Body Starter Set (RM 88) and will be heading to buy the Facial Starter Set (RM 68 - for combi oily skin type) soon!!
